The Art of doing NOTHING

When was the last time you took a break?

The last time you were able to complete a whole movie without panicking or thinking about what’s next?

Our mind plays in mysterious ways.

We put so much on ourselves sometimes that we forget what it feels like to just let go once in a while.

I am an uptight person myself, I over-think a lot , complicate things and finally end up self-pitying and blaming myself.

It is tough to stop such a habit, but I know I need to.

I thought time is limited, I have to act fast or else I will be the last one to finish the race.

And then later I thought to myself,

Time is what we define it to be

Who told we don’t have time? We have all the time to achieve our goals and become what we want to.

I can be a writer now or at 65, if I wish to do so, I can build my career even at 30, I have the power to make my decisions, so why worry?

When I learnt this, I saw my life in a whole different way, I stopped stressing out about problems I cannot control and focused on the problems I can.

I decided to take breaks, embrace what I have, slowly and steadily.

You have no idea the amount of pleasure you get just lying down, shutting off your thoughts about the past and future and just having a peaceful sleep.

It helps, when you feel low or distracted you cannot concentrate on one task, your mind is wandering places.

So stay calm and push back your anxiety, I know it is tough, but loosen up a bit and approach a situation, you will find a difference in the outcome.

Do not stress out, just remain laid back and deal with your situations, you will soon see a change in yourself and your approach to life.
